Are You Our New Laboratory Manager?
Livio Gothenburg is now seeking a Biomedical Scientist, Biologist, or equivalent, to step into the role of Laboratory Manager. Livio Gothenburg is a private clinic offering specialist expertise in fertility evaluations and assisted reproduction. We have extensive experience and strong interest in male infertility and perform treatments using donated gametes. The clinic has about 30 employees and performs approximately 1,500 fertility treatments per year.

Responsibilities
As Laboratory Manager at the IVF laboratory at Livio Gothenburg, you will have a varied and stimulating role, with responsibility for leading, coordinating, monitoring, and developing the laboratory and the clinic’s operations as a whole. You will be an important member of the clinic’s management team and have direct personnel responsibility for approximately 10 employees and their work environment.
You will work closely with the Clinic Director and collaborate with Laboratory Managers at other clinics within the Livio Group.
Embryologists in the laboratory work with the handling of oocytes and sperm, embryo culture and evaluation, microinjection, and cryopreservation of sperm, eggs, and embryos. You will participate in daily clinical work in the laboratory, as well as have dedicated administrative time.
Your management responsibilities include performance reviews, salary discussions, and responsibility for competence development with a focus on a long-term sustainable organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Biology, or equivalent, with experience working in an IVF laboratory and with documented leadership skills. Experience in cell culture and sterile techniques is required. Preferably with experience leading research and method development.
As you will lead and work in a team, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. You are meticulous and quality-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility, service, and engagement. You work to ensure high-quality care in daily operations and contribute to continuous improvement in patient safety, accessibility, patient experience, and treatment quality in line with the clinic’s goals.
Experience in leading clinical or medical operations is desirable.
